We are Jade and Oli
It all started back in 2010 when Oli and I met on the beach in Vietnam. We met travelling and basically haven’t stopped since.
It’s been 7 years of adventure and we set up Journey Count as a way to document all that we were doing and to try to help others discover the joy of the journey too.
We are currently living the digital nomad life in Hanoi, Vietnam and taking weekend adventures as often as we can. We also have a dog, his name is Jimi and he loves adventure too.
So, pick up a drink, settle in and look around. We hope you enjoy the journey!

It has been an entire 368 days since we first stepped foot back in Vietnam. 1 whole year since we uprooted our lives once again and stepped into the craziness of Hanoi. So much has changed since this time last year. Oli started a business. I quit teaching for a job in...read more

Oli and I have been to Mai Chau twice now, and have driven through a third time on the way to Pu Luong. Yet, I've not written about it until now which is a disservice to what an amazing destination it is. Going through my pictures in preparation for this post, I could...read more
Bringing our camping equipment back to Vietnam was the best decision we could have made. We love homestays in Vietnam; they are one of those experiences we recommend to everyone coming to travel here. But there are so many wild, out of the way places throughout the...read more
