World Heritage listed Fraser Island sits off the east coast of Australia. Accessible from Hervey Bay, this amazing Island is a back to basics favourite for campers and hosts some pretty incredible natural sites.

From the Maheno shipwreck, to the Champagne pools, to sand dunes and more, a 4WD tour along the Island’s barely there roads is a sure fire hit among East Coast wanderers. We didn’t have long in Australia, so we sadly had to pick and choose between a long list of awesome activities, missing out a lot. But we never regretted making time for this particular adventure.

If you like camping, driving big cars, BBQ’s, or deserted beaches, then this trip is for you!

Scroll on for some, hopefully, inspiring photos!
